Beaumont For Obama

Sen. Barack Obama gives a speech in Beaumont on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008. This is the almost complete "short" stump speech for the many folks who couldn't attend the "sold out" (tickets were free) town hall meeting.

Sen. Barack Obama answers a critic's question about his experience during a town hall meeting in Beaumont. Texas primary elections and caucuses will be held Tuesday March 4, 2008.
It's been almost two weeks since my last post. Since then, Michelle Obama visited the quiet city of Beaumont. Last week, Barack Obama himself came to town. They both came with style, which defines their campaign.
As you probably know by now, I support Barack Obama for the same reasons, Latte drinkers, college kids, old and young folks, blue and white collar people support him. It's not only hope that drives us to him as his opponent claims. It's how he put us on our feet to face the reality on the ground. It's his ability to make us believe in the "good America" that we always loved. It's the power of "we" instead of the power of "I" that drives people to him.
Tomorrow, Texans will vote. No matter what the outcome is, my state is making history by defining the road to the future. Unfortunately, I haven't received my U.S. citizenship yet. But, that's another story for another post.
