From Iraqi Blogs To Books By The Bloggers

It's been almost five years since Iraqi bloggers made thier voice heard on the internet. People can't seem to get enough of reading these blogs. A number of these bloggers have published books.

The latest book is by Ihath. She has a unique writing style. If you're looking for an Iraqi blog that's different with each new post, then you must read hers. This month, she published a book based on her colorful blog, "Don't Shoot! ... I have another story to tell you."

Najma announced the family blogs will be made into a book. She asked for help to edit and select the proper posts to include in the book. If you have an editing experience, please volunteer to help.

The Iraqi Roulette is writing his first book. He says it may take a long time until he finishes the book. So, we have to wait for that one :-)

Dr. Najeeb Hanoudi is looking for a publisher for his writings about Iraqi politics.

On May 2006, Abu Khaleel published a book based on his blog. As you might expect, it's titled "A Glimpse of Iraq."

Last year, Riverbend published a book based on her blog. The book was titled "Baghdad Burning: Girl Blog from Iraq."In September, she published her second book. This time it's titled "Baghdad Burning II: More Girl Blog from Iraq."

Ghaith Abdul-Ahad, who became an international photographer, published a team photography book based on his and other photographers coverage of the war in Iraq. The book is "Unembedded: Four Independent Photojournalists on the War in Iraq."

The founder of the Iraqi blogsphere, Salam PAX was the first to publish a book based on his blog. The book is "Salam Pax: The Clandestine Diary of an Ordinary Iraqi."

It's not bad for a small and young blogsphere.
